Adoption is the gospel.
Before the Creation of the world, God chose us to be His adopted sons through Jesus Christ. Apart from Jesus, we are all orphans.
Bringing children into our homes and/or supporting those who do is so central to who we are in Christ and a practical way we can live out the Gospel.

We place a high value on adoption and foster care at Crosspoint.
As a church, we have systems in place to support and care for families who adopt and foster. There are three primary roles within our Foster and Adoption support network:
Foster and Adoptive Families
Interested in learning more about foster care or adopting a child? We have so many resources available to you! More than that, we have a community of shepherds and villagers to rally around and support you throughout your journey.

Shepherds
Shepherds are the point person (or couple) between a foster or adoptive family and the team of villagers who serve them. Shepherds maintain communication with their assigned family and facilitate any needed resources.

Villagers
Villagers are those willing to provide resources to a foster or adoptive family when a need is identified by a shepherd. Such resources might be picking up clothes or diapers; becoming respite certified so they can babysit; shuttling kids to school; etc.
Whether you are considering the call of adopting or fostering, or want to help families currently adopting or fostering, there are several ways you can make a difference.

1. Pray
Pray daily for the workers and kids affected. Pray for the families in our body who are fostering.

2. Serve
Babysit for a foster family. Provide a meal for a foster family. Become a foster parent or respite care provider.

3. Give
Give towards a CarePortal request. Donate items to the local CPS office. Volunteer at various foster care non-profits.

4. Share
Tell others of the opportunities available for them to serve. Involve your community groups!
CarePortal: Foster Support
We want to help families before they enter care. Careportal allows us to connect with families that CPS has investigated and confirmed they some kind of help in order to keep their children. As a church we have the opportunity to help fill these needs in order to help bridge whatever gaps these families are facing.
