Sermon text: Exodus 31 &35-40
God invites everyone to build his temple
Eph 2:20-22 "built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit."
Romans 12:6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them.
God provides what he commands
Ex. 12:35-36 "The people of Israel had also done as Moses told them, for they had asked the Egyptians for silver and gold jewelry and for clothing. 36 And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. Thus they plundered the Egyptians."
We are created in the image of a creator
Proverbs 3:19-20 "The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding he established the heavens; 20 by his knowledge the deeps broke open, and the clouds drop down the dew."

The question is not whether we will be artists, but whether we will aspire to high aesthetic standards. - In what ways is the church similar to the tabernacle?
- How has God gifted you to contribute to the building up of the body?
- Share with others in your small group the gift(s) you see in them.
- God commanded the Israelites to observe the Sabbath even during tabernacle construction. Are you taking time to rest and trust God in the midst of a busy season?
