Discipleship Questions:
- What stood out to you the most from the sermon? Why do you think that specific thing stood out to you?
- Understanding how God defends us can be difficult because His defense of us is often unseen and happening in the background. Do you struggle to see God as your defender? Why or why not?
- The sermon mentioned that our "enemies" can be people, relationships, circumstances, sickness, hardship, culture, and more. What are some things in your life currently that you would consider an enemy- something that might be attempting to derail or hinder your faith?
- God’s past faithfulness demands our present trust. Are there any events from your past where you can see God clearly defending and protecting you?
- Do you ever assume you know how God will act in a certain situation? Has this assumption caused spiritual problems for you?
- When was the last time you felt the presence of God?
- What would tomorrow look like for you to be able to spend unhurried, undistracted time with God?
